It’s a tiny place, we traveled from VT to try these tasty treats. When we got there it was raining and unfortunately not much room inside to eat. But they were accommodating and brought some chairs in from outside and dried them off for us.
Once we were able to sit and enjoy our coffee and croissants we understood the hype this place has gotten! Delicious and beautifully presented. As a pastry chef myself I have to say this is the place to go! 10/10 recommended!
After all of the hype, I was a little skeptical that this would end up a "looks good, tastes just okay" kind of bakery. I waited for a weekday that I had off of work to head over (30min drive for me) first thing when they open.
They've expanded their weekday menu to include a few of the previous weekend-only specialties. I was pleasantly surprised to see the pistachio marscapone croissant that I thought was weekend-only.
Got a pistachio marscapone croissant, orange chocolate almond croissant, and a regular pan au chocolate. All of them were delicious! I was really glad I got the regular pan au chocolate as it the croissant dough itself really shines through, while the other two have flavors that moreso overwhelm the croissant base. But don't let that sway you from other flavors!
It ended up being so good, that the next week I had another opportunity the following week. That time I opted to try the hot chocolate cube croissant speciality and a bicolor chocolate croissant. Hot chocolate cube croissant was really amazing and delicious. Definitely messy with all the cream, but worth it. As for the bicolor chocolate croissant, it is stunningly beautiful, but I think we preferred the regular pan au chocolate in this case.
Not pictured, I got three additional pastries to bring home to my family that I was flying to see that day: another regular pan au chocolate, an almond croissant, and a Kouign-amann. Kouign-amann was amazing. I've had many that just aren't made right, but Lakon Paris Patisserie does! The almond croissant I think was a little stale by the time we ate it, so I will definitely have to come back for a fresh one. Despite that, I can tell it will delicious when fresh.
Definitely not a place with looks alone, the taste measures up!
There was no line around 11am on a Thursday morning. Some selection of croissants and pastries but of course not all that they post on instagram👌🏼 Desserts are delicious as well as great tasting coffee! Parking nearby, some tables inside and outside. Pricy but they somewhat stand out so I think it’s worth a try! …
Great food, absolutely loved the chocolate hazelnut croissant! Only complaint is the bees inside (probably because of the croissants), but they don't really bother the people that much. Definitely recommend as breakfast/dessert!
This spot definitely blew up on social media for their extravagant pastries and I gotta say their pastries taste as great as they look. They are for sure a treat both regarding the price and decadent taste. Do expect a line on the weekends, but with the right mindset it’s not a problem.
Really spectacular pastries for not too bad of a price considering the skill it takes to make them. Have cookies that impersonate brownies and a variety of specialty croissants on the weekends, as well as an assortment of pastries and regular croissants on weekdays. Recently added soft serve to the menu, you can get it served in your choice of croissant or in a cup, but I'd recommend it in a croissant as a cone because the bread balances the sweetness, would be too sweet for me by itself, though it is a little leaky so be careful of drips.
After seeing gazillions of ads on Instagram finally I made the trip. I have to say that their croissants are nothing close to what you see on IG. As you can see in the picture I have included there is a tiny bit of chocolate inside the chocolate croissant.
I might give it another try if I am in the area again but will never crave to go there.
AND I got 1 latte, one chocolate croissant, one chocolate chip cookie croissant and the total was 22$. Which is very high in my opinion. 8-9$ for a piece of pastry is pricey.
I had been reading the amazing reviews and had to try them in Newton. We went this past Sunday and just by seeing the line and how their customer service was I knew I couldn’t go wrong. I got home and couldn’t wait to taste them and I’m in love and recommend the Nutella Banana croissants. Can I say I stood in my kitchen and devoured half of it. So crunchy and so much flavor! It reminded me of the desserts in Paris, so go try them out You won’t regret 🥐 🍰. Going back Sunday and not sure what to try next ❤️
